Treatment Experience

Adderall XR is about as good as it gets folks for SA/depression/ADD treatment.  One 30mg pill vanquishes my anxiety, turns me into an extrovert and makes me talkative beyond belief.  I started using it 2 months ago and I still love every moment on it.

I've been crazy depressed and when this little pill gets in the way, it stops all suicidal thoughts and makes me feel alive again!  It puts a smile on my face where one has not been seen in decades.  I basically need this pill daily to stop my depression.

As for my ADD, it gives me superhuman concentration abilities and motivation from beyond.  One pill makes me actually ENJOY working!

Only cons of this medication is that you need to take it when you wake up or you wont be able to sleep.  Its effects also only last 12 hours and when they are gone, you revert back to Dr. Hyde.

This medication costs about $125 for a months worth of 30mgs XR.  Its the best money you will ever spend.  Talk about getting your life back geez!

Social Anxiety Background
I've had social anxiety disorder for several years and I've experimented with various medications and illicit substances for anxiolytic purposes. I don't like stimulants alone because they're so anxiogenic but in combination with say a benzodiazepine like klonopin or ativan they can't be beat.
Other Treatments
Benzodiazepines - klonopin, ativan, valium, xanax, serax, librium. All recommended in combination if anxiogenesis is too prominent. Other drugs like soma and the nonbenzodiazepines or barbituates or alcohol (not recommended) are capable of anxiolysis for this purpose as well. Other stimulants I found effective that I've tried include propylhexedrine, methamphetamine, and MDMA (ecstasy). I've also tried levmetamfetamine from vicks inhalers and caffeine and although they stimulate you and get you going quite a bit, they're ridiculously anxiogenic and they hardly pump the dopamine at all. I don't like them one bit. Combination with a benzodiazepine wouldn't be worth it if you ask me.
Treatment Experience
Adderall and related stimulants like methamphetamine and propylhexedrine make me feel wonderful, powerful, confident, and even arrogant and narcissistic. But best of all they do wonders at treating anxiety. At the same time they're lightly anxiogenic however due to their adrenergic action. Combinging stimulants with benzodiazepines is probably the most effective treatment for anxiety there is. You'll instantly become a badass (from my experience at least).

Unfortunately there are some problems however. Adderall is not a practical constant every day treatment. It'll make you crash when it wears off eventually if you follow a routine like that. There's also excessive stimulation, obvious jitteriness, paranoia, anxiogensis, increased sweating/perspiration, and tense muscles among other things. Oh yeah and you can easily come across as irritable, aggressive, egotistic, arrogant, and so forth as well. You'll become an ******* and a badass at the same time but with some effort you can probably control yourself.

Social Anxiety Background
My social anxiety was formed from having PTSD.
Other Treatments
The drug I am currently on is Lexapro which I find amazing and an even better option for social anxiety. Thedownside is that it aggravates my RLS, causes low sex drive, and inhibits orgasm. But even with all that, its still worth it.
Treatment Experience
This is a great drug for social anxiety and an even better drug if you have A.D.D. It really gives me the motivation to do the things I need and am supposed to do. Without it, I will just sit there like a lump. The only downside for me is that the drug at low doses seemed to wear off, and I needed to increase the dose. After increasing the does for the 4th time I started to get a bit irritable, so I discontinued use.

Social Anxiety Background
I've had anxiety and depression since around middle school. I am now 18.
Other Treatments
I'm currently taking Lexapro and enjoying that. Gives me a boost without making me feel too different.
Treatment Experience
I was misdiagnosed with ADD with I was 11. (The symptoms are similar to anxiety)They put me on Adderall. This drug is a nightmare. You're pretty much on speed. Sure I got more work done; I got a B in a subject I'm terrible at! However I also couldn't sleep at night, lost 15 pounds from having no appetite, was freakily quiet, and terribly jittery. I was so young when I was taking this I didn't understand that it was the drug doing this to me. There is a reason people who don't have ADD take this drug. It is essentially like taking speed. I’m sure this medication can be useful from those actually with ADD, but please be very careful.
