No, I haven't even read it. Though I do own a copy. It's been sitting in my to-read pile for a long, long time, lol. It has more to do with never having been any good at following other people's rules. I'm a professional dropout.

Guess I have to buy one of those headsets with a microphone. THEN get up the nerve to do a ramble or speech. I haven't forgotten about it. Has anyone else done one? I should go make sure I subscribe to the group's posts...

Hope everything is good with you :)

Hi Maslow. Great picture. I wish I could draw. Sounds relaxing. I have a sinus cold you would not believe. :) I hope things are going well for you. Take care.

Thank you for the invite to the Speak Easy group Maslow. It sounds like a great idea. I'm a little intimidated but also excited to see how it rolls.

Hey Maslow. I noticed you on the 50 up group. Welcome. I hope you had a good Chritmas and New Year. It went by fast. I was looking at your bio. Did you draw your avatar? I can't draw so I'm not an expert, but it looks pretty amazing to me. I was also wondering what your definition of 'sever' social anxiety is.

    Have a great week.

Thank you very much--makes me want to keep going. And what do you mean a film crew is recording your life?!?

Arrrgh, that is not a song, it's me practicing and sounding really bad because I know the camera is on, etc. Lol....I didn't think anyone clicks on that blog link....better watch out what I put on there from now on, (smile). I want to edit a piece together that has parts of several different songs that I like.

Interesting points about creative and emotional release. I had never made the separation of the two, you've got me looking at it from a different angle.

Yep, in New England the weather never gets boring, but it can get a little overwhelming at times (not complaining at all...I love it here). I am one of those that thought that Denver has bad winters, maybe because of the comments made by the football commentators, such as the games between the Broncos and the Pats lol...well- now I know otherwise.
I can't say that I love being in the city (Boston) all that much - it does activate my anxiety to a point. But I have gone to see the Bruins, Red Sox, and rock shows there. I feel much more at ease traveling up and down the coast of New England, the ocean is in my blood sort of speak.

I'm about 1/2 hour west of Boston. It's been one snowiest winters, kind of reminds me of the mid 90's when I was going thru back problems (not a good mix of events lol).

"I realized that my life hasn't been all that interesting" :lol
Does writing give you the same sort of emotional release as playing music?

I hear ya, I'd probably feel kind of lost without my tools. Not working on much right now, and if spring would hurry-up and get here it would be great - so that I could take some long walks and do a few runs as well. But no worries it'll be here soon enough.

Writing a novel does not sound easy at all to me, have you written one before? I would not know how to even begin one. Do you structure it like a song or something like that?

I haven't tried water based. I should for the reasons you mentioned. My woodworking has to take a hiatus for a year or so. We're moving and I have to get rid of my woodworking tools and a bunch of other stuff. Oh, well... Sometimes change is good.
