I'm basically semi-congested all the time. Always sniffly, nasal sinuses always at least partially blocked, throat always phlegmy/needing to be constantly cleared. Have been like this as long as I can remember. I have temporomandibular disorder (my jaw pops/snaps and locks now and then--no pain, though), so I wonder if that's to blame since I think it can affect the sinuses.

The sinus issue has never been diagnosed because I've never sought help for it, I just figure it's something I have to live with, and relatively minor compared to my other issues.

(I just looked further at the link above and it says there's often an association between TMD and interstitial cystitis. Did not know that. o.o )

I love Gran Turismo, one of my favourite series, have all of the games on the PS1, PS2 and PS3. Almost all of my happy childhood memories have been playing video games and Gran Turismo was one of them, I spent hours getting the licences and building a collection of cars. I loved it. My love of racing games has waned somewhat because I drive in real life now, so it feels weird to drive in a video game, but I still love it. I don't really have a favourite car, but in Gran Turismo 4 I bought a BMW M5 which I was chuffed about. I'm playing Gran Turismo 6 at the moment but haven't gotten very far in, so I'm making do with a Honda (can't remember which model off the top of my head).

I've got a 3DS too. I've been playing Ocarina of Time on it (never had a N64) and I'm near the end, I love that game. Love the Zelda series. I liked the Star Wars film too, just as good as the classic trilogy in my book.

GTA is weird when it comes to right and wrong. To steal a Boeing 747, you need to break into the airport, and breaking into the airport sets the police on you. When you commit a crime, the police will come after you, so there is a punishment for wanton criminality. However, in every GTA game, the protagonist is an aspiring criminal and to progress you have to do jobs (mostly murder and theft) for other criminals. It's why GTA has created so much controversy. But I hate it as well when people express admiration for bad characters, and then justify it by saying it's only fiction. It still makes them hypocrites. Crime shouldn't be portrayed as an aspiration, but then again who are we to dictate what people can and can't watch? One of the reasons I avoid films and TV.

I have a job interview next Thursday. Wish me luck. It pays significantly more and would make it so I could actually afford living like a normal human being. Thanks!

What games have you got for your PS4? I've got Fallout 4, Assassins Creed and MGSV, all are great games.
I've never played Temple of Elemental Evil, but it's an old game from the 1980s?. The Elder Scrolls is like an high fantasy RPG. Skyrim is one of my favourite games of all time. I love that game to death.

In GTA5 you can steal pretty much anything, as well as cars you can steal buses, lorries, boats, aircraft (including Boeing 747s from the airport). You can't steal trains though, like you could in San Andreas, but that's not a big loss. The cars are modelled on real life vehicles as well, such as BMW, Ford, Land Rovers etc. GTA5 is an amazing game, so much fun, but I prefer the older GTAs (especially Vice City, San Andreas and GTA4), they had better characters, better music and better storylines.

(BTW, I really hate this 1000 character limit for VMs)

No?! Why would you throw your PlayStation 1 away? Ah well, you can get most of the good games on PSN using your PS4 (I think). If you have a PS3 you can download games and even put PS1 discs in, I prefer that as I can use a wireless controller.

I think games have always tried to make money though. But some games are ridiculous with their season passes and DLCs and **** like that. Look at Star Wars Battlefront (the new one) for example. A classic series decimated by EA to make money.

I actually think the opposite, it's easier than ever to play games with other people if you have online connection. Most games have some sort of online multiplayer including a co-op mode. I don't like online gaming myself, too many trolls plus I don't want to spend money on a PSN subscription. **** that.

I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism...they tell me my levels are normal now, but my symptoms are all exactly the same. :stu I've had lots of blood tests due to that condition but all they've ever told me about are occasional low vitamin levels like D and B and iron. I also have chronic sinus issues but that's not diagnosed, just something I've dealt with all my life. No allergies or anything I'm aware of. White blood cell count fine, blood pressure fine, blood sugar fine, etc.

I'd be content living with all that by now if I could just get rid of the IC. :/

I agree. I still have my PS1 from 1998 and the original Spyro trilogy. I also downloaded the first three games onto my PS3 from PSN (they were quite cheap as well). I have got to 100% on the first game but I haven't yet on 2 and 3 (though I'm working my way through them).

Whilst the 1990s/early 2000s was my favourite era. I wouldn't say quality has gone down. There are still some great games, such as GTA, the Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Dark Souls, as well as Mario and Zelda (the quality of which has remained high over the years). But there is a lot of crap that comes out (look at Steam for example, so much **** on there). What I hate about gaming today is the focus on online gaming, so that if you're not an online gamer, you are just wasting money buying games as half the content is geared for online gaming. I hate that, it feels like gaming has become an extrovert activity instead of something one does alone.

Anyway, what consoles have you got? Or do you mainly play on PC?

Thanks. :blush I think just being frustrated for so long gives me a temporary backbone...if I can use that to find a solution to this it'd be a great weight off my shoulders.

I assume they would've found a tilted pelvis by now if it were part of the issue; they diagnose IC by ruling out everything else first. The condition's usually painful (another name is painful bladder syndrome), though I've never experienced that, just constantly needing to go because my bladder is so tiny. They've tried oral meds, putting medication directly into the bladder via catheter, stretching it out by filling it with saline, injecting it with Botox, but none of it's helped in the least, it won't get any bigger. :/

I've read about what it's like to have it removed and it seems inconvenient but tolerable, much better compared to what it's like now. It's just a matter of getting the doctors who can do the surgery to reply to me and take me seriously. I guess we'll have to call and nag them again next week. >_< Thank you for the concern, BTW; it's definitely a frustrating situation.

Interstitial cystitis (chronic bladder inflammation...basically it can no longer expand, and I constantly have to use the bathroom) is my primary problem; I could learn to live with my other issues if only this one could be fixed. :/ Unfortunately nothing has worked and it seems like the only solution would be to surgically remove the bladder. That's pretty drastic and risky yet I'd be willing to do it (I handle pain much better than discomfort). Unfortunately I'd have to travel to the other end of the state, and the doctors haven't gotten back to me yet, and there's a chance even if/when they do that they'll just try all the treatments I've already tried. So...very frustrating. :/

I'm sorry, I don't hate you. I just get very bad anxiety even replying to VMs, and tend to forget to reply to them. :(

The health issue I'm dealing with isn't painful or life threatening but is very bothersome and has yet to respond to any treatment (been seeking treatments for almost eight years now), and I've been feeling quite poorly lately as I'm supposed to hear back from a doctor's office, but it's been a month now with no reply. Plus my SSI is getting reviewed and that has me very worried as well.

Hi, thank you for friending me! I remember you from a while back. :)

Unfortunately I haven't been writing much for quite a while...I keep telling myself I'll get back into it when my health issues clear up, but that has yet to happen. :sigh Still trying to get that sorted out if the doctors will ever get back to me.
