In order to recover the expense, I'd have to hire an attorney. Would I sue my next-door neighbor, whose hillside ended up on my property; the owners of the property at the top of the hill, where the landslide began; the company that logged the top of the hill, thereby making a landslide likely; or the State for having approved the logging?
More than the money, what makes the situation most difficult for me, as a social phobic, is having to deal with so many people.
You know, I'm an atheist, too. As Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie wrote in 1929 (and Led Zeppelin covered in 1971), "When the levee breaks... Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good."
Thanks for your good wishes. It's always nice to hear from you, and I've missed not hearing from your recently.
