Default Probably not even worth posting...lol.

I went grocery shopping today. I usually get really anxious when doing this. But i thought about a post i read here from Trini, and Trini talked about recognizing what you do that makes you anxious, when you get anxious and why specifically you get anxious. Or something like that...lol, i read that thread like a week ago.

Anyway, i thought about what makes me anxious while grocery shopping. I get anxious thinking about taking too much time in the aisles looking for exactly what i want & i think other shoppers will get mad at me. I worry about maybe knocking into someone else's cart.
Etc.

I get anxious when im riding the bus to the grocery store and i get anxious while im shopping. I get anxious because i feel like i might make a fool of myself there. I thought about how silly it was and also tried to take deep relaxing breathes(breaths?) while riding the bus to the grocery store. As i was walking in, i just thought about how most of the people in here wont pay any attention to me, and even if i do something embarrassing; the people in here may look at me for a moment but wont care really.

So...i got my groceries and didnt feel anxious at all! As i was shopping, a woman asked me if i could help her find velveeta cheese...we looked but couldnt find it. Then she found it and we both laughed at how weird it was that all the other brands of cheese are in the freezer aisle and the velveeta is on some regular shelf.

When i got to the check out, i was feeling confident from talking with the lady trying to find the velveeta and i wasnt very nervous. I made good eye contact and smiled.

Only thing that kinda rained on my parade, was when i got back home my mother was pissed. She asked me to get her a 4 lb bag of sugar...and i didnt get it. But im doing her overweighta$$ a favor as far as im concerned. But im still happy with myself for going grocery shopping and not getting that anxious.

I think that's great. Good job.
I hate shopping, especially grocery shopping, with a passion.

Hey, a "triumph" is a triumph, big or small. Congrats!
