Default Oh my god

I've been doing a Psychology degree for the last 4 years, and I got my results yesterday............

I GOT A FRIGGIN' FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so over the moon. It still hasn't quite sunk in yet and I keep checking the university website to see if they've changed my degree classification.

In some ways this is a big 'eff you' to social anxiety, because I left university after level 1 and 2 due to SA - but I managed to finish my degree and got the highest grade possible. After a lot of hard work and stress. But it was all totally worth it!

So happy right now, even if the heating is broken and there's 5 inches of snow outside and I'm wearing 3 jumpers and a duffle coat and I'm still cold.

Congratulations, your success is really inspiring and anyone who suffers SA and manages to get a first degree MORE than deserves it. You've triumphed over the odds, not many people could do what you've managed to acheive and come first so my warmest congratulations to you, I hope you get a really great career that pays you loads to fix central heating and never worry about money again!

Great job!
And I totally understand what you mean about it not sinking in, it took me a few days to deal with when I got my results!

Thank you, lovelies! It feels so weird. It's like my appalling self-esteem just won't accept this big, fat contradiction.

Excellent!
Very well done, you psychologist, you. I'd suggest burning some of those books to keep you warm, but you might give me a bad diagnosis, so better start dancing around to be warm.

Thank you, thank you!

The heating should be fixed on Monday, thank god. Until then, I'm dragging my duvet around everywhere I go.

well done! although I'm not totally surprised - a clever girl like you getting a first? of course!!!

basking in the warm glow of your achievement might offset some of that cold.

Great job!

But you'll have to translate for us non UKers (or maybe just me), what the crap is a first? I'm assuming it's the best (because you got one) but what is does that mean?

How many bunnies have you got? Wear one on your head and two as slippers.

"First" means "First class degree", the highest class you can get If you want more details this page should explain it.
