I first tried to cancel by writing a letter, only to get a letter back claiming they needed a bunch of information. I didn't want to write another letter and wait more time, so my only choice was to call or keep being billed.

I broke down and called today and got my account canceled! The rep tried offering me a month-long deferment about four times but I kept turning him down and demanded my account be canceled.

I'm so happy that's over!

The rep took me off hold for a while and asked me about my hobbies because his computer was taking too long. It was a little awkward but kind of funny at the same time.

I also got my car's oil changed today, which I had been putting off for weeks because I'm afraid of the mechanics taking advantage of my lack of car knowledge. I took my brother with me. Some kid I went to school was working there, so it was awkward for that reason, but it's done now and I don't have to worry about it for a few months.

I've been putting off my oil change too..I need to learn how to do it myself.

I hate getting my oil changed and I hate, hate, HATE calling places like that. I need to call about my phone bill because they charged me twice for something, but I've been putting it off because I really don't want to. I'm almost considering taking it as a loss just so I don't have to call.
