today i was able to go into a bar, sit down by myself, eat by myself, and watch the entire Notre Dame/ USC game without running out of the pub OR having a panic attack! I was still a little fidgety and wondered what the other customers and waiters thought of me, but at least I sat through the whole 3 hour game

And I have SEVERE social anxiety, pretty much since preschool.

Congratulations. For a whole three hours(very long time) you sat, ate, and watched the game all by yourself, that's a pretty big achievement.

Reading your story lifted my spirits and made me feel as if I can do it too.

Wow.

That's huge-I wish I could do that-not the game part cuz I don't like sports but walk into a bar/alcohol place and drink and eat all by myself-but its too scary for me

And for 3hours-congrats for that

that's a SERIOUSLY good achievement!

I've never done that before and would be absolutely petrified and want to get the hell outta there! Watching a game would've helped. Simply rocking up to a bar to eat and drink alone might be a good test for any sa'er!
