Lately I've been drinking a lot of Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer. This stuff works really well to sooth your nerves. It doesn't taste too bad either (with milk and sweetener).

It does help my anxiety, but it's short lived. I'd have to chug chamomile tea all day to get any lasting benefits from it.

I don't like chamomile anymore. The smell triggers some of my social anxiety's and a couple of bad memories.
I tried it to help me sleep a couple nights and I ended up drinking like 2-3 glasses. I did end up falling asleep, but I was still very anxious. And It's not like I had a great sleep either. I just dozed off for about an hour. So, maybe it does work. However, I do really like the taste. |

I prefer peppermint tea for relaxing qualities that nevertheless maintain mental alertness. Chamomile sometimes makes me drowsy. Yerba Mate is pretty good too for relaxing yet maintaining mental alertness.
