Chamomile

Those from North America are probably most familiar with chamomile in the form of tea. Often we drink chamomile tea before bed for the calming and sedating effects that it is supposed to induce. Suprisingly, however, not enough scientific research has been conducted to support the anti-anxiety properties of this herbal supplement. However, if you find drinking a cup of chamomile tea tends to calm your nerves before a social engagement, that may be all the evidence you need.

I like chamomile for calming my nerves. I think passion flower works well also. I think both are in sleepy time tea. That's the tea with the bears on it at most supermarkets.

I drink this so now and then, It is really relaxing but not always.
If I make it I make it strong, just let the tea bag in the cup for 10 minutes before you pull it out.

I get ideas from this thread, If its working why don't I make a super concentrated cup of chamomile?

(chamomile works also a little laxative)

Personally, I wouldn't add plain sugar. I use honey. Let tea bags steep for approximately 5-10 minutes. Try to let boiling water settle for about 30 seconds before putting it in the cup.

Chamomile already has sort of a sweet flavor, I drink it without anything extra. Usually, after a big meal.
Linden tea seems to calm me down too.

A nice cup of chamomile definitely takes me down a notch. It's a great way to wind down the evening.

I think I'll go make a cup now...cheers!

I am drinking it right now. I have to go to training for 4 hours so I have to get all drugged up. Chamomile works well with me, but I try not to consume it unless I really need it to in order to prevent my body from building up a tolerance for it.

As with any herb you can become immune to it if taken over a long time. Taken sporadically is the best way to achieve its effects.

It really helps me calm down to get to sleep...I usually make a cup and leave it to steep for 3 minutes.
I should start drinking it when I get inside after a busy day so I can unwind.

Yes!

Well, I should say if you like it hot you'd like it cold too. Just follow the instructions for making it hot, then put it in the fridge until it cools, you can sweeten if you want or just have it plain. Try it!

Tulsi Tea with stevia is quite good, could be placebo, but who cares?

Mercola.com has a fair bit of info on it.
