Default A place for advanced/recovered sa sufferers

It would really help me a lot if there was a place strictly for people to give advice. Sometimes I feel like I am just going around in circles when I write about a problem because everything seems to get scattered and I get a mix of sympathy, some advice, more personal stories, or even comments unrelated to the topic of the thread.

I don't want to complain, I am just saying that I know I would benefit from a little more structure such as a group just for those who have advice on different topics.

For me, personally, I like it when someone has lived something simular, when they share their story, that means they've experienced it first hand, they can tell me, what worked for them, what didn't, what they learned, to me, that's invaluable, knowing someone else has been there and lived, not read it in a book, or heard it on a talk show;-) too me, that's pretty valuable advice;-) Pick what you need, that's beneficial, toss the rest;-) just my thoughts and advice;-)

I think people can make up own their minds whether they've 'recovered' or not - so if they feel willing to share their experiences, and there was a section for them to post to, that would be a very good thing for the rest of us that are still following in their footsteps.

As far as "advanced" sufferers go - from my personal experience, during the darkest periods of my life (when I suppose I could have been considered an "advanced" case), there would have been no way in hell I could have interacted with people on this forum due to the level of my SA. (To be honest, I still get extremely freaked out just posting on SA forums.)

In other words - having a special section for "advanced" sufferers is probably a waste of time, as anyone who is an "advanced" case of SA is most likely too anxious to post on it. Of course, this is just my opinion, so feel free to disagree as you wish....

She means advanced as in "advanced in recovery".
