so, i took a quiz in a magazine. it said i would be at risk for social anxiety disorder. i did some more research, and SO MANY symptoms apply to me. i really think i have it. i was wondering if someone could help me with these two questions i had....?



so, question 1: how should i bring it up with my doctor (who is also my mom)? and question 2: to get tested for SAD, do you have to get blood drawn or get any shots or poked with anything?

However you feel comfortable. There is no wrong way. You could tell her that you read online about SA and that you think you may have it or if this approach is too daunting you could write a note. Doctors, atleast the ones I know, are non-judgmental.

No, the diagnosis is made entirely based upon symptoms.
