Default Hi everyone

Hi, everyone I have social anxiety (obviously... lol) I've had it for three years now and it started during my 8th grade year and has followed me up until now, I just finished my sophomore year. Having SA has been a real struggle for me. School really sucks because I hate to deal with people some days. I'm nervous in most of my classes and shaky most the time... sometimes I get so uncomftorble I get invouluntary movements in my legs upper body and neck... It feels like I have torouttes or something like that, has anyone else ever felt like this?

Anyways I feel like I make other people uncomftorble which definitely sucks. And ocasionally I hear other people talking about me and pointing from the corner of my eye. Or sometimes they're doing the same thing I am I don't know whether this is to make fun of me or what. But whatever schools over for now...

If I go to school for a reason though it's too play sports. Sports is one of the things I can do all day everyday no matter what. I play basketball do track but I mostly play football my favorite sport. I'm not what some would call a jock though I try to separate myself from that stereotype as much as possible. I can be alot of things funny, ackward, crazy, anxious.. ALOT of things. Which is why I get along with alot of people and have plenty of friends but I can't help but feel anxious in some situations.

Trying to ask people on dates can be a drag too even when you know they like you back it's like all these random crazy thoughts just come out of nowhere "What if they were just kidding around" "What if they say no.." or okay "What if they do say yes, but what's after that I don't know how to be a boyfriend!!" things like that.

So yea this post is getting wayyy too long. So ya if you have any questions just ask if you wanna talk I'm here now. I wanna be friends with you guys.

Hi welcome to SAS! My anxiety started in late middle school/HS as well.

Yep. I have this. Sometimes in my face also which is worse. It's bad enough you have to sit at the back corner of the room alone- dead silent. And now your face is twitching.

Ah.. atleast I know I'm not alone when it comes to twitching due to anxiety. My guidance consuelor says that's just the anxiety's way of getting out because I try too bottle it up... But i don't think he doesn't even understand the extent of how bad and embarassing this stuff really is..

And SOME, dude I skipped alot of classes too during my two years of high school. Sometimes the anxiety or people were just too much for me.. I must've skipped one class atleast 16 times during my Freshman year. It was fun... I could hang with my friends I usually don't see during the school day. I almost lost credits though. So be careful you don't do that or else you will really be screwed!!

Idk I think my anxiety is kinda like selective if that's possible.. some people or groups just freak me out. Like couples I don't know scare the crap out of me I dont know why...

Yes having sports is a good thing. It gives us the "happy spell" hehehe. I don't know the exact term for it but whenever i do activities i always feel new and refreshed.
