Quiting cigarettes is one of the hardest addictions in the world to break. I'm not sure if insomnia is a side effect of quiting but wouldn't surprise me if it was. Your brain is going through a big change because of the withdrawal. If it's messing up your day to day life, go to your doctor. Actually, go to your doctor anyways, he/she might have something to help you.

quitting smoking is ridiculously hard. ive smoked since i was 16 and have quit for a few months on a couple of occasions n i would have dreams where i smoked and would wake up thinking i had smoked and in a bad mood even though i hadnt. i also had a lot of trouble getting to sleep at night as well.. coincidentally i was prescribed wellbutrin for depression and it really helped with not smoking. i read that it is used to help smoking cessation but i stopped taking them cuz they do tend to keep you up at night. sorry i wish my experience was more helpful but all i can say is that the longer its been since your last cigarette, the easier it is.
as for the weed, that also can make it harder to fall asleep. weed has always made falling asleep a piece of cake so it might take your body a little while to adjust. good luck! |

I read the title as "Drug Hobbit and Insomnia." I found it amusing.

I'm an ex-pothead. In my experience weed is never laced with anything. WHy would a dealer deliberately make less profit?
Weed is very easy to quit. |

I have been using drugs for 5 years straight (since i was 14). Been mainly hooked on pot, cigarettes and dope(oxys, heroin, recent habit in past year)and quitting after nearly daily use for such a long time is so agonizing. Sleeping at night would be hard, i'd be sweating, body would ache, I'd argue with people I live with, I'd isolate myself...cry a lot. I relapsed a lot, on my longest streak of not using now though and it's still agonizing. I'm not gonna start again, came too far.

its the cigs not the weed. weed very rarely has withdrawal symptons. You have to be a super heavy smoker and the worst thing that can happen is maybe a cold, deff. nothing what you described
