Wow, you sound like me! I feel the same way sometimes. I don't have any friends my own age, so I just hang out with my parents, and I enjoy it, but like you, sometimes I wish I had friends outside my immediate family. But I guess we can be glad that we have such good relationships with our parents. A lot of people, teens especially, can't say that.

I feel like the exat opposite - I don't spend quite enough time with my family >< On a day-to-day basis I normally either hang out with my mother or boyfriend, no friends exist of course xD. It's just that my dad and sister are normally away and my other family lives in other countries in the UK, and the only time I ever get to see them is once every one or two years, which sucks... makes me feel isolated when I go to see them as well since they're all so used to each other and I'm not... *sigh*

If by "spend time with family" means discussing what I want to eat with my mother or debating football with my father during games then yes.
But this is not a bad habit at all, family is the most important thing a man has. I mean, I don't mind keeping this habit when I'll have my own family. |

Yeh my parents are always wondering why I don't want to go anywhere with them and this is exactly why, its really sad to do so when other people are with friends. Its nice to have people who truly want to spend time with you unconditionally, and thats what friends are. |
