I'm not sure I want to really go see a shrink, but I wasn't sure if you have to in order to get prescriptions for these types of things. I just don't know what to do, where to go, what to say. |

That part is exactly right, if you have a good "regular" doctor. Then she or he will refer you. You need an expert to diagnose your condition. The garden-variety family M.D. can't do it and neither can you.

Yeah the doctor you'd go to see if you had developed a minor skin condition, that guy. His job is to recognise symptoms properly and refer you to the appropriate specialist.
