Default Ego Vs Love

What does the group think? Can Ego and Love co-exist, or as i suspect, love can only flourish when the Ego is tamed.

No, one will eventually defeat the other.

i agree, but think that love can still grow with self respect (not exactly ego or pride), limitations on what you're willing to put up with, without violation of boundaries.
Of course I'm sensitive and have a low threshold for mistreatment and tend to miss out
on a lot due to this.

An interesting experiment would be to approach a new or existing relationship (platonic or non platonic) without ego. Stretch your limitations, give more than you normally do and see
what happens. Do you lose out or do you gain?
