I got inspired by http://www.socialanxietysupport.com/...-a-slut-54667/. I'm interested whether there are gender differences regarding this question.

Wikipedia definition of promiscuous: "Promiscuity refers to sexual behaviour of a man or woman who engages in sexual relations with multiple partners on a casual and/or regular basis."

Real people seldom use the word promiscuous unless they are talking to a judge or a minister. They normally use the word slut.

No I do not want that label

Yes, and mostly no. It means that I get some, which is good, but other than that I wouldn't want to be called that.

Hah, I would much rather be called promiscuous and actually get some than be what I am now: a frigid, bitter woman who couldn't get a man to touch her even if she magically morphed into a six pack of beer and a bowl of cheesy nachos.

I'd expect the typical male to be thrilled with that label, as going around having one night stands is typically considered cool and good for one's social status. I don't care for casual encounters myself (not that I've ever been involved in one) so I'd pass on the "cool points" for getting laid.

The results will probably be a unanimous No from the ladies for obvious reasons.

I wouldn't take offense to it. Similar to Drella, I'd prefer it to the alternative.
