Whether they know you have it or not, what kinds of things do people say about you that is relative to your SA? I have been called lazy, told I just make excuses, and that it's all in my head...so frustrating. That kinda hurts worse than having SA.

I've been called lazy, weird, quiet (the obvious one I guess, lol)... yeah. I hate being known as this weirdly quiet girl though. And people seem to have the attitude that something's horribly wrong with you if you don't talk non-stop. Why do people seem to think everyone should be 100% comfortable around other people? It's annoying. I hate coming across as a snob too.

Yeah! Tons of people think I hate them when we first meet just cause I don't talk non-stop. And I act very awkward. And when people call me weird, I say thank you...just means I'm unique

For some reason people don't like using my name and just say "she". And no one directly talks to me, they just talk *about* me right to my face.

Yep, been called weird and shy.

On a side note - never tell people you're on meds, because everytime you get emotional, even if you're within your rights...say, something a "normal" person would get upset over, you'll get people asking if you've taken your meds. "Have you taken your chill pill?" Yeh, I'll to tell you where you can put your chill pill!

You in high school? Cus when I was in the grade school years I got put down non-stop. They would do it to my face, and behind my back but close enough for me to hear it and sometimes whisper looking at me and giggling. I was poor, had really bad parents and moved to a lot of different schools so I'd get talked about over everything. It was miserable

I've been called b*tchy, stuck up, stand-offish, sheltered, immature, indifferent, aloof, serious, sensitive and reserved. Those are the most common ones. Lots of times people just tell me to grow up, start acting my age, speak up, stop taking things so personally, you'll grow out of it once you mature etc.

People don't really think I am quiet or have social anxiety. They think I think I am better than them or just don't want to waste time talking to them which isn't true. I've had people tell me "wow you're so nice I thought you were a straight up b*tch. I'm misunderstood most of the time.

When I use to had social anxiety, people would look at me all weirdly and sometime they would call me a freak or a creep.

I've been called lazy a lot, though its more due to procrastination than laziness. Though they may be the same thing. I've been called angry a lot, but that's because my neutral facial expression is angry looking, I'm planning to walk around with a slight smile on my face from now on. For some reason people don't naturally jump to "this kid did this b/c he has SA", they jump to some other reason, which I think is a good thing, but it may be a bad thing as well, i dunno

I've been called weird but I took this in a good way, and the people that called me that knew I took it in a good way and were saying it jokingly. Though I am weird. Obama is weird, bill gates is weird.
