Default This site makes me want to cry.

....And it's really a shame, because I had hopes to find some friends here, or at least make some kind of connection here.

Since joining this site, I feel worse about myself.

I'm not going into details, but this site is really clique-y and not a very welcoming environment for newbies. Get over yourselves, please.

If you are thinking of replying with something that will make me feel worse, then maybe first take a look at yourself.

Late.

Isn't this supposed to be a welcoming environment for people with Social Anxiety?

If it's supposed to be cruel, what's the point?

I'm just saying whenever you enter a enviorment where people don't have to take responsiblity for their actions due to anonominity you are asking for problems.

You need a thicker skin if you want to hang out around message boards / chat with e-people; it's human nature to act different when they don't have to see the person face to face / face responsibilities.

I'm sorry you feel that way... I try to be as welcoming as possible, but it seems others don't... It's not SAS's fault, I assure you most people are welcoming. But there's always a**holes, especially on the internet...

It's hard to keep up with how many people there are here and time zones etc, I'm happy to have a chat to anyone.

many people here are very supportive, others are too shy to initiate a conversation or even reply to threads

Finally, there is a bunch who just want to be funny and get peoples attention. They are rarely very helpful in their posts- which is fine by me, theres room for them here too, we all need to unwind a bit.

It takes time to tell them apart, and it doesnt help that there are so many of us joining and leaving for good everyday. It can be really lonely here, even with all these people... but sometimes you get lucky and the ones who can give good advice and be supportive are online and respond to your thread... sometimes you are not.

Who would've thought that on a forum of socially awkward weirdos there would be a clique of ***holes

I know exactly how the OP feels. That chatroom specifically is a piece of work.
