Default thinking of deleting facebook & myspace

like other people here in other threads i've read, checking my facebook and myspace is really depressing. not many people talk to me and i talk to hardly anyone.
i have this forum and living anxious.com to keep me in the loop and social. and i'm exploring the channels on youtube about sa.
so if i added anyone from this forum, don't be hurt when i delete the account. it's not you, it's me.

I deleted my facebook and I deleted all of my contacts in my phone. I have absolutely no regrets about doing that.

I go through phases where I'm totally inept at social networking and then I'm totally cool with it. I have a facebook account that I have not checked in almost a year. I'm afraid to check now because I know there are a ton of messages from people wondering where I am. But I'm going to try to go back and at least let everyone know I'm not dead! Plus, I just bought a digicam, so I can add pics of me doing cool stuff with all my friends! (OK, so that last part may be wishful thinking on my part).

Never understood the point of Facebook, especially for a person with SA. Sounds like a good decision.

I have a myspace account that I never use. I have some friends on there but they are all from high school and I haven't talked to any of them in over 2 years, including on myspace. The only reason I keep it is because I have three friends on there that I used to be close to, and I keep telling myself that someday when I move out and am over my SA I will contact them again. Should I just delete it?

You guys don't give out this negative advise! I would say you should just try messaging people more...usually they respond =/

Facebook just reminds me how behind I am in life. Have to constantly see others succeed. Most of my friends /high school people are on ignore/hide. I feel obligated to keep that page with the family etc. Fug it. I only log in for gaming purposes. Everyone shows off on that site anyway. I am gonna quit looking at people's pages.
