Social Anxiety Support

As SAers we avoid a lot when it comes to people, but we don't really want to deep down, but what about the people you do want to avoid. I've tried to be kind with some people and they happen to take advantage. This one guy I don't have any interest in whatsoever, cus I dislike his personality, keeps texting me with weird things. I haven't even seen or talked to him in person in over 3 years. Recently he put "I love you" on my facebook wall out of the blue and texts me stuff like "hey sexy, hope your day's going well" and today he texted me "how's my best buddy doing" and I decided not to answer and he got mad. I also am pretty depressed all the time....I really am miserable enough with SA, but it seems only people I have no interest in pay me any attention and they're always odd. This other guy saw a pic of me(as a drawing I did)on my mom's phone and thought I was "hot" from it and got his sister to get my # out of my mom's phone and keeps texting me and getting upset when I don't respond, as if I owe a response to someone I didn't give my # to. So my question is, since we already avoid, how do you handle the people who will NOT let you avoid them? Are there people that bother you incessantly like this? I don't have a problem with friends, I just don't feel very comfortable when people step over the line in odd ways...Am I alone in this?

I just ignore them, or tell them to **** off. Eventually they get the message.

Tell him how you feel and if he doesnt respect your wishes then block him. I had an ex like that, we would not talk for months and months and then out of no where he would instant message me or text me. It was pretty annoying. He was very demanding and controlling, but I think he got the message because I haven't heard from him in a while. But then again, it might be because I've been hiding or MIA from all my friends and the people I've known in the past.

Same here, my ex only texts me when she wants me to do something for her but I guess it's my own fault because I usually do what she asks.
