Default I lost my notebook

I must have left it in class yesterday but I didn't realize it until my train pulled out of the station. I checked today but it was gone and the caretaking staff hadn't found it, either. I even emailed my entire class about it, but nobody emailed me back. I guess it ended up in the trash.

In addition to having lost something that I was (embarrassingly) attached to, I'm now missing nearly a semester's worth of notes. I don't know how I didn't notice that I'd left it behind; I never do stuff like that.

Blah. I'll get over it I guess, but I'm pretty upset at the moment.

buy 2-3 USB cards and back up your work. even if you hadnt lost it, these things can breakdown without any notice.

ive had to learn that the hard way.

Are we talking about a notebook computer or a paper notebook?

That sucks, I'm sorry.

I know it sounds kind of hokey, but could you maybe put flyers up around your school? That is, if you really want it back... someone may have spotted it and taken it home after class. It's not uncommon for me to see papers up around college from people who are looking for things from jewelry to stolen bikes, and you could always make an alternate email if you didn't want to be 'recognized.' Just a thought.

I hope it turns up eventually - I keep all of my notes for all my classes in one notebook and would be really upset if I lost it.

It's a paper notebook, so at least I'm not out financially. It's more of a scholastic/emotional loss.

Thanks, polythene. I didn't think of the flyers but they're a good idea.

At least it wasn't (hopefully?) filled with embarrassing personal thoughts, or "I love so-and-so" written all over it.
