Default family problems...

Do you have people in your family you absolutely can't stand? My father is one - he is a complete mother****er. He thinks he is being a father when he's trying to suppress and control everyone's life. He starts swearing at us at the slightest thing and is just a complete son of a *****.

Please don't say now that i should try to talk with him. Would you ever try to reason with an animal attacking you? He just DOES NOT, CANNOT listen to you. When he thinks he's right, it's game over...he blocks all input from others. If you want to show him that he's wrong, you're a dumbass because you aren't seeing that he's right. He can't get outside of himself and just look at what he's doing and how he's behaving. Man, he's a ****ing relic from ancient ages when people weren't yet developed intellectually...

Anyone relate to this?

Yea...i can pretty much relate to this, my father overexaggerates constantly about my behaviour or lies about it. He talkes about things i use to do years ago and acts like if i still keep doing it while other people in the house seem to notice that i dont do it any more except him. Or he acts very aggresive towards me in some situations and when i get aggresive right back he says im rude and then he tries to make it look as if he wasnt aggresive at all. this one time he came into my room and he started insulting me about my hair, he kept coming back in my room to call me all kind of nasty names for no reason at all, and then i snapped and called him ****ing mother****er he was pretty upset but he had no right to talk to me like that.

Yes. My parents.

My mother is a narcissist and my father drinks. They both have very little IQ/common sense and it annoys the patience out of me. Both my parents are extremely negative people who a) like to cuss everything you do b) complain about everything c) think that nothing is ever good enough. Getting 2nd highest wasn't good - I should have gotten 1st d) seem to think their daughter is up to no good all the time especially when she goes off to do something by herself. It's like I have some kind of hidden motive behind everything I do.

The differences/expectations in culture also annoys the hell out of me. In my family, to have "feminist" values is almost completely unheard of (I'm asian - go figure) and for a large part, is the reason why I rarely speak to my parents any more which frankly, suits me just fine.

My parents also have this extremely annoying habit of repitition/saying things to "long" out the conversation especially my mum. When she finds out that you've done somethign wrong or even, if you start any conversation with her, not only would she literally repeat it 7 or 8 times, she will also say a whole host of completely unrelated negative things about you. Another reason why I avoid speaking to her as much as possible.
