I think an anniversary gift would be much more appreciated than a Christmas gift. My 2 cents.

Congrats on both accomplishments. Could you cook her a meal for your anniversary? Think of things that don't cost money. Does she have a long lost dream that she talks about? Like always wanting to take ballet classes? Take her to the library to research ballet classes or help her research where and when they are offered. She will appreciate you value her dreams ( and her )

Hey, congratulations on the anniversary.
I've been with my boyfriend for 1.75 years. That sounds silly, but it's almost exactly a year and 9 months. He's a wonderful guy, incredibly sweet, patient, loving, and supportive. I've just recently started CBT for my social anxiety and he's been wonderful. Although he doesn't know what it's like to struggle with anxiety (I'd be willing to say he's never been nervous a day in his life, and probably won't be far off), he listens when I tell him how nervous I am to go to the school bookstore to buy chapstick. Yesterday, I texted him, telling him that I was going to the mailroom (on campus) to check my mail by myself. And he texted me back that he was so proud of me. Even though it's an activity that he doesn't think on for a second, he knows how incredibly difficult it is for me. And he is proud of me. |
