Default Bad things that make you feel positive about yourself?

Am I the only one who thinks about bad stuff when I get depressed with life and it almost makes me smile.

The stuff I imagine is like if i've seen a documentary or read a news story about someone having cancer or some disability I feel happy about my life cause as **** as it is I'm pretty lucky that I'm reasonably healthy, no major responsibilities like children, no major debts and relatively young.

Am I some sort of creepy sick individual?

I understand what you mean. I don't feel out right happiness from similar things you've mention, but I do feel grateful I'm not in this or that particular position of hardship. I feel more appreciation for what I do have. It doesn't erase what I struggle with, but I do take something from it that is meaningful and helps strengthen my mind to keep trying when I don't want to anymore.

not at all, i think everyone feels positive after seeing people in worse situations than they're own, as you get to appreciate the things you do have and that in turn can help motivate you to progress in your life.

Unless you actually want those bad things to happen to people, or are laughing in their misery

In life you can feel however you want.

But you should know, that there are two types of people in a wheelchair.

1. Dancing breakdance with their wheelchair.
2. Drinking in their wheelchair.

Some people who are normal drink and are depressed. and Wheelchair driver NR.1 would have a better life at the end of it.

We live our lives in our head and mortal body has nothing to do with it.

If i were you, I would be seeking joy from things that are joyful, not misery.

"Am I some sort of creepy sick individual?" if you feel that way, then you are. If you don't feel that way, then you aren't.

In life we judge ourselves nobody can judge us until we kill somebody.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah I don't think it's that bad a thing to do. I've never wanted any to suffer.

Yeah, but I don't feel good about them being ****ed up, I just realize how good I got it.

My boy from high school who taught me how to make beats got shot in the head a few years ago. Found his body in a field.

My best friend just shipped off to the military to get away from the hood and find something better than being a janitor.

These are good people.

On the other hand, I'm alive and well, got 2 good jobs now, don't have a bill I can't pay, got a supportive mother, a down azz wife and I'm in a doctorate program without having gotten in any debt for my bachelor's. They showed my one friend that got killed on the news in a graduation picture....

Its ****ed up but I'm thankful to be here and be given this great chance. Sure, I get really nervous around people sometimes, and I drink too much, but I'm still here
