Default Stuttering

I've started researching disfluent speech - stuttering (part of a language development project). According to NIDCD (National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders), 1% of American adults stutter but because anxiety can come with it (maybe even the other way around), I wanted to know if anyone here stutters, how they cope with it, and if they do anything to reduce it.

Sometimes when I'm talking to someone I screw up a word so I have to restart the sentence. &_&

I stutter on occasion. Especially when I'm excited about something. I repeat the first word or two of a sentence a few times over before I can actually get through the whole thing. It's kind of embarrassing. I generally just try to breath and speak slower...

Occasionally, I talk really fast so I will from time to time, I just try to play it off if it happens.

I stutter usually when i'm nervous, but it happens randomly sometimes.
I'm completely unable to say the word I want to say, its like my brain forgets how to make the sound.

I stutter sometimes when really super nervous. I have to start over and speak a bit slower. I hate it.

Yep, I stutter and screw up words whenever I'm talking to someone new because I'm super nervous. It makes me feel like a complete idiot.

Very often. I repeated a word 3 or 4 times, still couldn't make the sound. It's like the brain loses control of the mouth. I learned not to feel embarrassed if it happened. Laugh at myself before the listeners do, breathe and repeat.

I stutter more now than I used to. I don't know why. It's like my mouth has slowed down some. I do it whether I'm nervous or not. I'm not too annoyed with it yet. I just push through and keep talking.

I kind of stutter if I'm nervous. Sometimes I stutter my words and then they dont come out but I'm exhaling at the same time. So it just sounds like I've started weezing or breathing heavily in the middle of a sentence.
