What I use on my face now is a mix of a base oil and some essential oils. you might want to check out a book I found, called "Pure Skin". Um...I don't know if you're a bloke or a chick, but if you're a bloke, I'll warn you the book is geared towards women, but there are a lot of good recipes in it for mixing your own cleansers and so forth. It has helped my skin immensely. Drink plenty of water as well. This seems to make a difference for me. Leo |

I have eczema on my forehead and above my eyelids. The itch is maddening. I use dermatologist prescribed cortizone cream. I would go nuts without it.

I used to have severe eczema as a kid-teens but it went away. It was really bad around the bend of my elbow and my neck.
Biggest tip my dermatologist gave me was to put lotion/cream on right after the shower when your pores are opened the most and always wear cotton! |

Yep, I have Eczema. Had it all my life, since I was very little. It changes where I get it. Usually it's on my hands and feet, but I have had it on my face this year. My doctor prescribed Elidel, which was very helpful.
Always moisturize your face when you get out of the shower and pat, not rub, your skin dry after it's wet. Also I use Cetaphil face wash, which is very mild. |

I've had dermatitis on my fingers for about 2 years and it appeared at random at age 26. I have been under a lot of stress. I put steroid cream on it if it really itches. It either comes up in spots or goes really dry. Putting moisturiser makes it itchy, so ignore my Dr on this one. I wear rubber gloves if cleaning and try and use Simple products which are supposed to be good for very sensitive skin (facial wash, soap). I shoudl probbaly change my shampoo but it is good on my hair if not my skin!

The only thing that even kind of works is showering (Though it doesn't seem to matter what kind of soap or shampoo I use). It always comes back with a vengeance after a few hours. The weird thing is that it doesn't itch when I'm in bed. This leads me to believe it might be stress related. |

I've tried numerous moisturisers, and it has even started to flare up on other areas on my face. I've tried the prescribed creams (which has steroids I think) and I'm not comfortable to keep using so I'm looking for other solutions. I think I'll go for an allergy test too just incase. It seems this skin condition is quite popular relating to SA. |

There may be something to that. I read something about dermatologists using UV light therapy for stubborn dermatitis. I don't know about you but I almost never go outside so I get very little sun exposure. I've been outside once in the last two weeks. |
