Maybe just nervous habits or compulsions in general. I don't bite at my nails, but I pick at my cuticles constantly (among other things) and play with my hair.

I used to do that back when I was in my early teens. I got tired of hurting myself that way, so I just stopped one day. Haven't done it since.

I obsessively bite my nails. They're really scary looking but that doesn't stop me from biting more

I bite my nails everyday. I think my nails have actually started growing faster to compensate. I do it so I don't have to look at people, among other reasons.

I do from time to time. More often I'll rub my nose.

When I bite my nails it's more of an OCD thing. I'm hell bent on making them even, but of course that never happens when you're gnawing at them with your teeth.

I've never bitten my nails. I keep them very short because I can't stand the feeling of crud getting trapped in there.

Not mine. I know lots of people without social anxiety do it, so I wouldn't necessarily see it as a symptom.

I used to bite my nails, I did until about a year ago actually, all the time. Then I got sick of looking at my ugly, tiny nails and stopped biting them so they'd grow out. I was so happy when they looked like 'adult nails' that I just never bit them again. It used to be just what I did when I was anxious, now I fiddle with other things... my necklace is usually what I play with now, since I almost always wear one.

I used to bite my nails, but I bought this stuff that you paint on your nails and I stopped. I do get the urge sometimes. The stuff I used tasted like earwax, but I don't bite my nails anymore.
