Anixiety a gateway to other severe emotional problems?

Let's put it like this, severe social anxiety can interefere with your job or career, relationships, with your life. Being afraid to leave the house all the time and not having a job, friends, or any where to be can lead to depression, sleeping disorders and worse. This ripple effect is a consequence of avoiding society and natural human contact. What is the worst side affect you've delt with from your anxiety?

There isn't enough bacon in the world for the two of us, so one of us needs to go.

I'm wondering if there are others out there who have found themselves dealing with alot more than just anxiety possibly due to thier social limitations in the first place?
Well, I don't think it came about due to social limitations but I have GAD and depression in addition to SA

Couldn't have fun, and tasks became overly difficult, which caused/was depression

(still dealing with it)

maybe, One disorder leads to the next and the next. all these in the Left nav-bar.
it started for me post-traumatic stress, then social anxiety, panic, and then i think only later came the generalized anxiety in every activity. the limitations do nothing but boost the symptoms, but i dont think anything more has been added. It's hard to pinpoint if i have depression. because if ur so used to being a certain level, its hard to compare. but the over-all default level of happiness im sure for most of us is lower than normal.

I would say, not being able to feel good about myself or anything, not having motivation, always feeling down and exhausted, and sometimes even feeling a little hyperactive than normal.

Also, something severely bad happened to me over a year ago, where I had alot of problems before, this made it worse.

Oddly, it didnt affect my job or the few freinds I do have. But there are other aspects of my life that were or have been affected I would say. I do have this avoidance tendency and some sort of slight people avoidanacy.
