Imagination is best. I'm sure there is every sort of porn you can think of, but nothing can beat a good imagination.

I'm not saying there isn't an unhealthy level of watching porn, but to make a blanket statement that porn isn't healthy isn't entirely accurate. There are plenty of people in relationships who even use it to spice up their sex lives.

Reality is that for guys like us (mid 20's, absolutely zero experience with women), porn helps us take care of our natural urges. As long as you're not allowing it to take away from your job (if you have one) and any other things you may have going for yourself, you're not addicted.

Yeah but perhaps it may let you feel more content with your situation rather than motivating to do something about it?

I've watched a fair amount of porn and I don't think a blanket statement either way is accurate. If anything though, I'd say porn is a lot more unhealthy for some mid 20's guy with no job and zero experience with women than it would be for a successful guy in a healthy sexual relationship.

dont worry too much man. sex is a powerful reinforcer that fulfills a basic physical need for survival of the species. Its a primary reinforcer like hunger, thirst, sleep, termination of pain. (got this straight out of my psych textbook lol) so i suggest to try not to feel guilty. and to those who can use ur imaginations...lucky @#$%*^@!.

Looks at username... ah, the irony.

ETA- As for porn, everything in moderation... and within reason. I think the real risk with (some) porn, is promoting unrealistic expectations when it comes to "doing it" for real.

Maybe it's just the medications but I've found me need for porn over the last few years has not only declined, my tastes are a lot tamer as well. And I can go weeks without jerking it where at some points in the past I might have been doing it a dozen+ times a day (man is that embarrassing to admit, even anonymously. Now I'm never going to be able to go to a Toronto meetup without feeling like a total weirdo )

I'm kind of happy about the changes though. I don't think the fact that my needs are being less fulfilled is a problem because I simply don't have the same needs anymore. I guess though that if I was in a relationship with somebody with a more voracious sexual appetite (hah! that'll be the day), I could see how it create conflict.

All of those blokes are holstering what appear to be rocket sized cranks, I often find myself feeling inadequate, plus, they are all bulky, veined and tanned and so forth; generally just good looking (although I am not focused on the men it's just an observation *haha*)

It's the same with all the ladies. I guess everybody in these types of 'flicks' have to remain 'lagom' however.

Default Porn is a substitute. But hey, why not?!

Up until just a hundred years ago or so people would get married in their teens, not long after puberty. But now we dont get married til mid-late twenties. So where does all that repressed sexuality go until we find a regular partner(hopefully marriage)? Nowhere. It's still there. So we look at porn, or we hook up with a stranger at a party. Or a pay prostitute, or a chinese girl at the massage parlor. I'm not saying porn is good. But it is a cheap substitute for sex. Especially for people like us who have a disease that is keeping us from going out and meeting the right person, and living life like it was meant to be lived. *Sigh*

I that having a lot of porn makes you a collector of porn.

As far as addiction goes... it basically means you cannot sustain normal happiness for very long with our doing your addiction. Or you addiction ends up negatively affecting the rest of your life...

So if you're doing it so much that you arent going out side and not having sex with real women. I think it's fine.

Needing a lot of orgasms in one day is normally a sign of an addict. Might want to go to sexaholics anonymous

You'd best get on that. You're running out of time, they'll be home soon!

that is something i dislike about (a lot of) porn - they just look very fake and unrealistic and quite far from what i find attractive. don't feel inadequate, i know a lot of girls who would also agree that is not what they consider good looking when it comes to the type of look they are into.
