Lol, you're right and there are some funny comments on this thread. But to get back to the original posters question I have found that when I would pretend in my mind that the woman I'm lusting for was my wife that kind of killed the lust. And thinking of the act as normal also seems to help. Lucky I got a good girlfriend now

Around 9 to 10 times for me daily. Why try to stop it? What else am I doing all day? Masturbation is just one of those things that just takes the edge off life for 5 minutes to 1-3 hours. It beats the dangerous alternative of drugs and alcohol. So whack on op.

Same here most of the time. I visit a porn site maybe once every 2 weeks. But some of it is downright disgusting. I can see why so many women are offended by it these days.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Now that I think of it, I don't actually sit there and watch porn for 2 hours, it just takes me 2 hours to download the dvd's I want and while they are downloading I browse for more dvds or videos I want to download. Out of the hole 2 hours I'm actually watching for mabey 20-30 minutes. I think my problems is more downloading porn than watching it.

Also I don't spend 2 hours everyday, more like 2 hours mabey one day out of the week, and then the other days I will download porn but won't watch it, I don't know why I just feel like I need to have it so I can enjoy it later or something.

I don't think it's taking over my life, It's just taking up too much space on my hard drive and I keep wasting money on blank DVD's. I also feel like I am wasting my time. I don't think I will completely stop, but I plan on cutting back as much as possible. I will at least try to stop downloading so much.

I don't feel so bad now though, that you guys think its somewhat normal. I was afraid people were going to say that I was a sinner and I would burn in hell. I'm also glad I'm not one of those guys that spend 8 hours a day watching porn, but I don't want it to get to that point, so I want to gain control of it now.

Anyway I preoccupy alot of my free time viewing porn as well. I am trying to stop, since I always feel ashamed and disgusted with my self. I wouldn't say I'm addicted but when I don't have classes I just stay home all day. I get bored as hell so I figure why not.

i still watch it about once every week or two but its definitely not as good as using your own mind. there is just too much in even what i consider the better-than-average videos that bother me to enjoy it to its fullest. it can take ages to 'master' (har har) only using your imagination since it's very easy to become dependent on porn. but its possible, after all you can achieve anything if you just set your mind to it!

anyway lde22, good to hear it's not such a major problem. i think as long as you keep it in moderation now you should be fine.

This is exactly how I feel. If I had a girlfriend I would never look at porn since I would feel guilty. Plus if I had a social life instead of staying home all day I would not have an urge to look at porn. My "hobby" is almost entirely fueled by boredom.

never had sex before but I heard getting up to, you know, and then weaning off of, you know, constantly and building your "stamina" of how long you can hold off will help your stamina in bed. If you're going to do it, might as well make it productive :P
