Default "The Rich Are Getting Richer"...

"and the middle class are getting screwed" Or maybe not. Read the article below:

Mark Twain:"There are lies, damn lies and statistics"

I think an out-of-work auto maker might disagree with that article.
Or the person who is losing their house due to the mortage collapse.
Or the single parent who spends the bulk of their meager income on child-care.

Just some thoughts,

I have been doing pretty good, but I have no debts. I have no student loans to pay back, I paid off my house in back in 2001, and I own my vehicle outright. I also don't have a wife spending all my money and have no kids which helps quite of bit.

Fortunately, my husband (who makes significantly more than me) and I put our money together and its OUR money, we dont view it as "my" money or "his" money. We work as a team. I wouldnt want to be in a mine and yours marriage, although I know plenty of them exist out there. But that would not be for me. I make a decent amount of money per month and I dont hoard it calling it MINE. Like I said, maybe lots of marriages do not work that way, but I wouldnt be married if mine did.

I have moved up quite a bit in the last 5 years but I dont feel a part of any statistic or its because of anything except choices I have made, sacrifices I have made, or other personal things that have gone on.

With me and Brian all my money is mine and all his money is mine. It works quite well for us that way
