I gather somebody read a recent post of mine.

Diet Coke used to use the slogan "just for the taste of it." That ended long ago, probably after some executive at Coke actually tasted that garbage. In diet versions, Pepsi definitely wins.

Now if we're talking about the ones with sugar, or rather high fructose corn syrup, then it's a toss up. It's been many years since I've had either, but each has a very good taste, though distinctly different from the other.

I simply buy whatever diet cola store brand is cheapest at a given time -- and all the generics taste just like Diet Pepsi.

I mainly drink diet colas, and I'm with UltraShy here: the sugar versions are a lot different, but both are pretty good, and Pepsi has the better diet version. I rarely drink Pepsi though, as there's a diet brand out there that is cheaper and IMO better.

I will drink Pepsi if I have to at restaurants where it comes out of those soda fountain things. If it's in cans or bottles I'd rather just drink water.

I agree!!! I drink both(although I haven't drunk caffeine in about a week), but I definately prefer Pepsi. I had a discussion with a couple dudes about this not too long ago actually XD....Sprite is my favorite soda though. yum
