Sleeping with a 13 years old is a serious crime, but if the woman moved on and was now able to enjoy life normally, I wonder if re-opening the wounds and relive that episode will be good for her.
Also, did Polansky knew he was at risk by going to Switzerland?

I'm not sure. Polanski has already been through a worse hell than any of us could imagine so if the woman has moved on they should just let it be.

But back to the subject, that is not an easy debate, in one end, he slept with a 13, and there has to be consequence to that, but in an other way, i don't know if anybody gains anything with Polansky in prison (paid by taxpayers) he is not likely to start again, the victim moved on, etc.

PS: Jacques Martin will solve everything mcqueen, and since the habs won last game, he is a good Québécois

its a waste of time and money, and the dude is like 76. I don't know how most people would be if they grew up getting shot at by the Nazis and then having his 8 months pregnant wife slaughtered by the Manson family. Its a little creepy that people are out for this guy's blood when the victim has moved on.

I kinda agree there, it's a waste of resources for the americans, there are more dangerous people in their streets. The American people are not safer than they were a few days ago.

A lot of people have had terrible stuff happen to them. That is no reason to go out and hurt someone else, particularly not a child.

There are a lot of people to whom MUCH WORSE things were done in Europe in the 30s and 40s. Lots of them emigrated to the States. I doubt that you would say that all of those would have been cool to drug a minor and have sex with her.
