Question Obamacare?

I just heard about this and I'm completely ignorant as to what it's about. Can anyone explain what it is, because anything with his name in it raises a red flag to me.

The uncompassionate conservatives who are pro-private corporations at any cost are worried that any public option will lead to universal government run health care. They are afraid that allowing certain select people the choice to buy into a medicare system (or get it subsidized if they are too poor) if the private insurance companies don't want to offer a policy at a decent price, will lead everyone to make choices in their lives to qualify even though it isn't in their best interest. Or that while it may start being offered to only a limited number, it will be expanded to everyone. The problem they have with socialized health care is that money isn't the main determinate of what order you get help in. And there are incentives for the government to make sure the population stays healthy to reduce costs and that takes away business from doctors (which reduces the money they make). And they fear that the government will deny care if you are too old, fat, lived unhealthily, or have a poor quality of life.

It's about Obama, aka mr song and dance man, trying to spin government run health care as the only solution to health care reform.

What mr paper thin teleprompter reader doesn't understand, is that just because you tweak a thermometer, it doesn't mean the temperature changes outside.

LOL!!! What would Obama do without his teleprompter? I remember him making a speech when his teleprompter malfunctioned. He was speechless...

That is like accusing him of using Camp David or Air Force one meaning ALL PRESIDENTS have used one since they have been around. The real joke is that people seem to think its exclusive to Obama.

Perfect answer to the original question.

What is different from reading off a teleprompter vs. reading off a sheet of paper? It's not like either one of them isn't reading the prepared remarks their speechwriters handed them.

Have a nice day,
Kelly

Actually Arnold is a trained actor. He has years of experience memorizing scripts.

I wouldn't say he was a trained actor haha.... just an actor.... or sorts.

and yes, all politicians use teleprompters and it isn't a big thing, but most other politicians don't get all the fawning press about how skilled an orator they are either.

Every politician uses teleprompter and the thing that makes Obama different is that he is the best at it. Actually his teleprompter reading skills helped him a lot to win the primaries against Clinton imho.

So, it looks like I'm the only one that answered the question.

And don't try to delegitimize Obama by bringing up stupid crap (telepropter, birth certificate, etc...). It is a bulling tactic that makes the other side look stupid and they have nothing to show for thier previous failed policies.

You can argue against the policies, but don't bring up un-true fears about what probably won't happen.

As for the public option, there are plenty of public libraries that offer basic books an information paid for by the taxpayers. But, it doesn't put the for-profit book stores out of business. It actually makes them better for consumers because they can't charge $150 for a book because they want a 500% profit, which might be possible if they had a monopoly (or a cartel).
