i actually think he does. i'm pretty much democrat all the way though.. Palin, thats a different story. I don't trust her ONE TINY BIT!

but... i actually wanted Hillary Clinton to win, pretty badly. I really feel like we missed out there.

Obama....eeeeeeehhhh......I really don't know what to say about him, I really hope he ends up being a good president if he wins BUT I just feel an uncertainty with him.

Who knows where our country is headed.

Yeah, sure. But you don't have to drive an SUV with American flag stickers all over it, have lots of guns and agree with everything President Bush says to love your country. There are other ways to serve your country than fight in a war. Ways that often go overlooked. People who educate themselves and bring to the table something other than rallying cries for patriotism/nationalism can love their country too.

I don't get why the pow thing is brought up as proving his loyalty. It's not like anyone chooses to be a pow.

Fighting in a war can certainly show patriotism, but Kerry served in a war. Yet many of the Republicans who rail on about Mccain's service voted for a guy who used his daddy's connections to get him out of serving in war over Kerry.

He had a chance to get out of being a pow if he chose to do some anti american propaganda, but he declined and faced very harsh punishment.

He was tortured because they wanted information from him - information they should NEVER receive! That business about his father made him a tool for ransom - even worse!

There is a rule about men not leaving their comrades behind or in trouble.
