Pssh, back in the day I sometimes dropped 50+ posts in one day. My post count is deceiving..It used to be well over 3000 but a whole bunch got lost when a few threads were deleted by accident. I'm not in danger of going over 50 these days but I'll sign it anyway.

The limit was set because we had cases of people spamming the "Just for Fun" area with the sole intention of boosting their post count. When you open the forum and see the same user has posted in every thread on the 1st page and all within a short period of time, it is nothing but spam.

I've always found that postcounts on forums can be sort of intimidating to newbies, you know, feeling inferior with your 10 posts compared to someone with like 5000.
I think postcounts should just be visible on someones profile, not with every post.
Anyway, that's just my two cents.

I don't know, I think 50 is plenty. Alot of posts are just one or two word answers, but even so, fifty of those is still alot. I feel kindof overwhelmed when I see the same poster has updated the last 38 new threads.
