Cape Breton has only black bears, which are usually pretty harmless, and sightings are rare. I live in the stix but I don't think there are any in the area. I'm not really afraid of bears so much, I think they're cute(when they're in cages anyways). I don't know how this developed but I even have dreams about being chased by them, which is apparently common with canadians. I always walk alone on the beach or near the woods and sometimes I get really anxious(might even grab a "weapon" to feel more secure). It doesn't stop me from going out alone but it stops me from walking as far as I used to. There's not much information I can find on it, but I think it's ridiculous and I don't understand why I have it. You guys have any funny, weird or unexplainable paranoia's?

I used to have a phobia of rattle snakes. Probably still do, just not in rattle snake country anymore.

back in high school I was so worried that I would get kidnapped and be buried alive and would be stuck in a casket conscious, screaming at the top of my lungs but no one would be able to hear me..then I got over that...sometimes I worry that somehow I will go cross eyed, that's bout it

A weird paranoia like being afraid that whenever you're outside with nobody else around you'll be zapped by a satellite laser weapon in orbital space if you don't find cover quick? Weird much?

One time I was looking up at the stars on the deck in the middle of the night. All of the sudden I heard this hissing sound. Right above me up on the edge of the roof, reared up on it's hind legs ready to pounce, was this huge raccoon. Ever since I don't like to hang out too close under the edge of roofs.

Mine is Rattlesnakes. I live on the edge of open fields. Their are snakes that come along and find shade on my front porch or along the house. Awhile back I hired a guy to weed the slope in the backyard. He killed to baby rattlesnakes. AGH!!!!!!!
My slope now has high weeds. hehehe |
