Default Wellbutrin and insomnia

Hi,

I will begin with Wellbutrin XL tomorrow, but I'm concerned about the side effects.

How do I handle the drug-induced insomnia?

I have Lyrica, Remeron, Rohypnol, Seroquel and trazodone in my medicine cabinet.

All of these drugs are good sleep aids, but I doubt that Remeron is potent enough.

Elavil has been my long-life companion, but this drug doesn't mix well with Wellbutrin.

What do you guys think?

Rohypnol and/or Seroquel and/or trazodone should be more than enough for this.

its nice you have many different options....seroquel worked great for me, about 25 mg at night to reduce/kill the insomnia from wellbutrin. but you do get a little bit of a hangover from seroquel.

I was taking Wellbutrin Sr once in the morning and once at night as prescribed. Didn't sleep for 5 days. Started taking it in the morning and was able to sleep a lot better. If possible take it in the morning and you should have a less insomnia.

I think you should wait and find out if there is actually any problem to deal with. If you have any problem, sure sounds like you're very well prepared to deal with it.

While a common Wellbutrin side effect given that it's a stimulating AD, it doesn't mean it will happen to you. It may or it may not.

When I tried Wellbutrin for a few months it had no impact on my sleep that I could detect. The only thing it did was act as an appetite suppressant -- which is a very nice side effect in my case -- though I stopped because other than that it did nothing for me.
