if the lexapro eventually calms you it should reduce or stop panic attacks, any valium type meds go well with these antidepressants but many docs have been brainwashed to not prescribe them

if antihistamines sedate you they are OK, benadryl, etc

if you can get any xanax or benzo sleeping pills, 1 disolved under the tongue will stop just about any panic attack,

also helps to relax, accept, dont tense up or fight back and do breathe deep and slow for panic attacks

how long on the lexapro and what dose and results so far??

Did you have any sexual side effects at first? That's my main issue with lexapro and other SSRI's. I have a girlfriend and want to be able to respond when the time comes... lol

My doctor told me to try this for 1 month.

I am starting w/ 10MG today. He told me, no stimulants like alcohol or coffee.

Would we have to take this for the rest of our lives?

i'm not sure if this is something you'd have to take forever or not.

Lexapro makes me tired, feel lethargic, dry mouth, nausea, etc. Ive been on it for two months now. hasnt really helped my depression or anxiety much but im also taking clonazepam (klonopin) which helps quite a bit with panic attacks. Prolixin helps me the most with racing thoughts.

well just got back from the doctors, she didn't want to put me on inderall or anything yet. she bumped up my dose of lexapro to 20mg a day. and gave me a months supply of sample packs.(glad i don't have to pay for it) so hopefully this works.

I don't think lexapro works...

Granted this is day 1. I had a hard time sleeping. I know of the side effects, but increasing 'seratonin' will help w/ anxiety? hmmm

I know. I find it difficult being amped or doped out on drugs. My situation is the anxiety sweat during spontaneous situations.

I can manage typical anxiety, but jus social situations would cause me to drench...sometimes..
