I have been taking lexapro for over a month now and I believe its helping somewhat but I can no longer take the sexual sides that Im getting from it therefor I plan to tell my doc next visit that I would like to try something different perhaps celexa which I have been hearing great things about. My concern however is I hear celexa has a very similar makeup to that of lexapro so do you think I will most likely experiance the same side effects with the celexa that I get from the lexapro? Has anyone ever made this switch before? Thanks |

Sorry, but you'll probably have the sexual side effects still because the molecules are essentially identical except for conformation and the occurance of sexual side effects for each drug is about the same. Never been on lexapro myself though.
