Default Supplements to improve sexual appitite?

I've been taking citalopram for the past year now, since dec 2008, been having a few "blips" and "dips" whilst on this medication, especially in terms of arousal.

I know that decrease in sexual interest is common whilst on meds, but it's still annoying. I mean i watched porn for almost two hours and felt no arousal at all, i enjoyed watching it though, but i just didn't feel anything down there.

Just wondered if any of you guys know of, or take anything alongside your meds to help with your libido/sexual appitite?

Thanks in advance.

Have a good day.

L-arginine worked exceptionally well for me, although i did not need it, it was cool nonetheless. Helped pretty much with all the Sexual Dysfunction stuff....it worked really well. L-arginine raises levels of Nitric Oxide, which vasolidates blood vessels and increases blood flow to,..it. Um.. and another one is Horny Goat Weed, which is almost identical to Viagra in its mechanism of action....both of these don't actually increase Sexual desire, they just help increase blood flow and stuff.....

Ginkgo Biloba extract was probably the most effective supplement Ive used to counteract SSRI-induced sexual dysfunction...i used it tons of times. Not only does it help increase blood flow to such, but it has been shown to also have an inhibitory action on Prolactin. Prolactin is responsible for the Sexual Refractory period....prolactin directly inhibits dopamine release. Dopamine = yay. Prolactin = gay. The more you inhibit prolactin, the better. Ginkgo biloba was really effective. If you get the right brand with active ingredients, you can hope for exceptional results. Ginkgo actually can raise sexual desire and performance, in addition to enhancing blood flow.

pretty much anything that raises dopamine can/could help with SSRI induced sexual dysfunction.....L-tyrosine (maybe...this didnt help me at all), Mucuna Puriens/L-dopa (this works, it directly increases dopamine in the brain, but can have some nasty peripheral side effects). Damiana, (its like this weird Brazilian leaf) has been used forever in south america to Stimulate Sexual function....its extremely cheap to buy online,...and, it works. I tried damiana for its antidepressant properties, but i found out it works for SD also.

i guess i could/might feel a little awkward/weird/anxious about posting this and talking about my own experiences with these supplements....but honestly, i don't really care that much... im secure enough *cough* in my manliness to post this without any worries.
