Default Should I go back to Zoloft after Lexapro??

I took Zoloft for about 1.5 years and, though it really helped me in the beginning, I stopped noticing that it was helping after a while, so I stopped taking it. Then my psychiatrist had me try some other drugs(Pristiq and Busprione), neither of which worked for me. I felt depressed and extremely anxious during this period and I realized that perhaps the reason I was feeling so bad was because I had stopped taking the Zoloft. Even though I didn't think it was helping me, it probably was helping more than I realized. So I told my psychiatrist I wanted to try Lexapro, since in my experience I seem to respond better to SSRI's.

I have been taking Lexapro now for about 2 months and it does seem to be helping me - much in the same way that Zoloft did. The problem is that I've gained quite a bit of weight since starting Lexapro and it's quite bothersome to me.

I was thinking maybe I should go back to Zoloft, try it again and see if it works this time, since I never had the weight gain problem with that SSRI. I still have some of my old Zoloft left - can I just switch? The other thing I was thinking is staying on Lexapro and seeing if I can get a prescription for Adderall (or someone here suggested Modafinil) to go with it and help with the weight problem. Does anyone have any advice?

Or does anyone know of other SSRI's that don't seem to cause weight gain??

I have a question, if thats alright...

While on Zoloft, what did you do? As in, did you work, go to school, are you active?

I'm just trying to find out if you do, or did other things beside just bank on the fact that medicine can cure you, if you tried living life while giving the medicine a chance...
