Default Luvox, Anyone?

Has anyone tried Luvox? If so, please share your experiences. My doc said it's good for SA.

well its one of the stronger ssris. It works well on OCD especially. I have taken it and it cuts off most all emotion if taken alone. Its also a sigma agonist but who knows if that means anything. If its just for depression and taken alone I dont think its good personally, but then again i hate all ssris.

I used it for OCD when I was younger, which worked. However, I tried it later when I developed SA, and it didn't really do much. SSRI's don't do much for my SA.

Luvox, or Fluvoxamine, is my life saver. I was so out of control when I started taking it to control my ocd symptoms and it has helped tremendously. I have been taking it for 6 years now and if I go off for a week, I can feel it - my obsessive behaviors start to creep back.

It doesn't make everything go "away" but I found that with particular skills that I have learned (esp thought stopping) fluvoxamine makes it much easier to control.

But like all medications, you probably have to find what is right for you. I take 200mg/day and that is enough for me.

Default Luvox

I take Luvox at 25mg. I find it helps, but there is so much more you have to do with mental disorders than just meds. I do find it is the best for SA though. I tried 50mg and it caused bad headaches.
