Never tried klonopin. Xanax seems to be doing the trick in taking the edge off, but damn its addictive. No reason to switch, yet...

Sometimes shorter-acting is better, sometimes I prefer clonazepam which lasts three times as long. They both feel identical. Clonazepam is a superior anticonvulsant which is the deciding factor for me.

I take klonopin myself, and it seems to work pretty well...never had any experience with xanax though, so I can't really give an accurate opinion.

Clonazapam is more stable, but it tends to make my thoughts really foggy if I take more than .5 mg. Xanax is better in that it can make me feel euphoric.

I'm not sure which I'd give the nod to yet, since I've only been on clonazapam for five days.

Xanax feels better and leaves me more clear headed than the others. I find my mood & intellect more dulled by kpin.

There isn't any such thing as a better benzo. It's all a matter of your needs in terms of speed of action & duration of effect and what works best for YOU.

There is also xanax XR which lasts all day instead of just the 4-6 hours of xanax regular.

Presicely, that is pretty much a given, I just wanted to read some opinions of others that have tried these particular benzos.

What about Valium and Ativan? How do these compare to the other two in the "main 4".

I get 0 effect from Klonopin/Ativan -- Xanax feels pretty sweet though.
