Default Is Pristiq an Effective med for social anxiety and is it truely void of effexor sides

I was wondering what the conversion rate of Effexor XR users to Pristiq were? I found effectiveness with Effexor in reducing social anxiety symptoms, however the sexual side effects were truly debilitating. I did try the Pristiq Sample pack for 2 weeks and it felt like effexor but without the same 'calmness' feeling I felt on Effexor. I know this was not a full trial. I've heard some reports that the sexual side effects were void on Pristiq, is this true for many users or just "wishful thinking"

Thanks

My textbook claims that roughly 50% of venlafaxine (effexor) is converted into desvenlafaxine (pristiq) if that helps.

Pristiq has a very similair 5HT(serotonin):NE ratio to cymbalta though, so my guess would be that sexual side effects with pristiq and cymbalta would be pretty comparable.
As for the sexual dysfunction with effexor, it has a wider 5HT:NE ratio than the others so at lower doses it primarily effects serotonin and hence has more sexual sid effects, although some users seem to report that taking above 200 mg of effexor diminishes the sexual side effects, as the strong noradrenaline effects start to kick in at that point.

Someone said that Pristiq it is currently awaiting trials to be approved for anixety and social phobia. Is this true? I felt quite a bit more 'on edge' on the short time I was on Pristiq than when on Effexor.
