Default Interesting experience on increasing dosage with Klonopin

Hey guys,

orginally my doctor prescribed me 0.5 mg Klonopin...and I told them that it's like worthless....so he increased it to 1.0 mg Klonopin. It was better but not perfect...

So I decided on a whim to try 2.0 mg Klonopin tonight and meet with a friend whom I work with. I am always slightly anxious around him. So with 2.0 mg Klonopin, I FELT buzz for the first time from Klonopin. It helped me relax and got my anxiety off my edge, BUT not as relaxed as I would like to be. Klonopin on 2.0 mg made me very tired.

Perhaps I'll go down to 1.5 mg on Klonopin and see how I feel. For the first tme, I had experience of "Klonopin buzz". Interesting experience.

I'm trying to figure out how to reach the right dosage for Klonopin that totally relax me and also takes my anxieties off.

I'm not going to pop Klonopin everyday, only when I have lots of social events to go.

Question to you all: Do you always pop benzos EVERY TIME you go out to a social event? Even if it's just you and your friend alone? My doctor thinks I should not pop benzos whenever I go to a social event, but he doesn't understand the ENERGY it takes for me to relax and not be nervous. It's a lot of work for me to get to be relaxed...Anxious is more my natural state, not relaxed state. Makes sense?

Idk, I usually take my 2 mg klonopin dose before bed the night before which is somehwat unconventional, it has a nice afterglow effect the next day, but that may just be my unique reaction to it, I will sometimes take an extra 0.5 mg booster before an event to take the edge off but no higher, because I'd rather feel alert.

I take 2mg klonopin most of the times i leave the house. I haven't done a "social event" in years... sadly.

1-1.5 mg prn for me. Anything above that just makes me drowsy and even more useless in social situations.
