Mr. T!! i need to change my pants
I have alot of questions lol..

1: do you split your 60mg Nardil dose into two 30mg doses? and at what time/times of day?

2: do you take your Nardil dose/doses with food or on an empty stomach? Which way do you think is better?

3: what side effects do you have now? (Afternoon fatigue, hypotension, etc).. or have they all mostly disappeared?

4: what made you decide to stop taking Nuvigil and Lyrica..?

5. Do you still take Gavis brand nardil?

And lastly,

6: How often do you drop to 45mg for two weeks and then bump back up to 60?

extra random question:
5: are all Whey Protein shakes basically safe with nardil even if it's got Tyramine listed as an ingredient as part of a Branched Amino Acid profile? (like combined with Arginine, 14+ random ones)

According to research I have read, it is probably all three. (Though it isn't GABA that alters the metabolism, but i cant remember what the mechanism was.)

Is it true that Nardil makes the gas that comes out of your @$$, smell? Is it something about the Nardil itself or is it something about which brand of Nardil that you're taking? Does Parnate have this effect?

Take all 60mg at night or early AM. Usually in the morning tho

Quote:

Empty stomach is better bc it allows for better absorption. Nardil pills have an "enteric coating" which is used to help the pill get through the stomach without much digestion from stomach acid and be mainly absorbed in intestines. enteric=relating to intestines.

none.

Quote:
4: what made you decide to stop taking Nuvigil and Lyrica..?
I drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day instead of nuvigil. caffeine and other stuff in coffee helps mood. i take nuvigil occasionally but not really anymore.

I stopped lyrica bc i bumped my nardil from 45mg to 60mg. after i did that i didnt need lyrica, nardil did the job by itself on anxiety.

Quote:
5. Do you still take Gavis brand nardil?
Yea i only use gavis. one of the reasons is they have a good enteric coating

And lastly,

never. i have before but its been probably more than a year.

ive never had a problem taking whey protein with nardil.

Interesting. This could allow for smaller doses compared to other brands with little or no enteric coating where absorption occurs mainly in the stomach.

Could also explain why (at least in my opinion) Gavis feels 'smoother'

Mr. T, how long did it take the hypotension to disappear for you on 60mg..? And did you find any effective methods/ways of reducing the hypotension while it was still present?

I definitely had some hypotension when i first got up to 60mg which was maybe a month into starting nardil. after that i went down to 45mg for a long time which was a dose that i slept better at and had less sexual dysfunction.

when i bumped back up to 60mg after being at 45mg for a while i didnt really experience much hypotension.

do u use caffeine or other stimulants to raise ur BP?

Yea thats def possibly the case.

and when you eat before taking nardil your stomach excretes a ton of acid to digest your food. theres way more acid in stomach after eating than on an empty stomach.

Thats why i think its a good idea to take nardil on empty stomach for maximum absorption.

I know longer suffer from depression or social phobia. so yes, it helps.

You're doctors are morons-read latest psychiatric journals where the admit that MAOIs are superior to SSRIs, tricyclics, etc.

MAOIs are the best antidepressants. unfortunately ur docs have probably never prescribed them to anyone bc its an older "dangerous drug"lol.

Someone else asked this question earlier in the thread but I too have the same question. How does someone go about asking a doctor for Nardil? Would a GP prescribe it or would I need to see a psychiatrist for it? Also, I have never been on any sort of medication other than Xanax prescribed for an as needed basis by my GP. Possibly this could dampen my chances a bit since I have never tried other alternatives first?

I see. In your experience, is Nardil something you can simply ask for and get with no problems, or is there a gripe doctors have about it and won't prescribe it to you right away?
