How Long Does it take cipralex to work?

I have been on Cipralex for the past two weeks and I don't feel much different. My doctor told me to take 5mg by cutting the pill in half for the first four days. After that on the fifth day he said to take the regular 10mg dosage. How long does it take for cipralex to work? I have issues with depression and anxiety. How am I supposed to feel? I don't know?

Cipralex/Lexapro/Escitalopram is considered the fastest acting SSRI AFAIK, many patients feel better within 2 weeks, you seem not to be one of them. Keep taking the drug as prescribed and give it some more time. Later the dosage can be upped to 20mg.

Thanks for your comments. I will continue taking the cipralex. I hope it works for me eventually.
